Casiopea

Towards the end of 2006, I was invited by two friends and art collectors to participate in the Art Magazine Casiopea, a project that Casa de Ensueños Art Gallery is proud to sponsor. Casa de Ensueños Art Gallery, in Guadalajara, Mexico, is owned by Sergio Quintor and Stan Osofsky. The theme for the 2007 edition was "Magic Realism".

By participating in the magazine project, I agreed to fulfill the project's objective, which was to contribute 40 original works (each formatted at 11 x 8 1/2 inches, the dimensions of the magazine pages). The full scope of the project was such that 40 artists were invited (each producing 40 original pieces). The exhibition (which occurred in the Spring 2007) featured the 40 magazines, every single one including an individual artistic contribution by each of the 40 participating artists. After the exhibition, each participating artist received a copy of the Art Magazine containing one of each of the originals pieces of artwork.

Below is a sample (12 out of 40) of the original pieces that I created for the magazine project.
