Paintings and Poems
What has preoccupied the work that I have been working on through the present includes a continuing dialogue to on-line visual experiences, including encounters with and through youtube, pop-up ads, and desktop windows. Of course, these visual encounters are simply an excuse to feed urge for image-making. In my paintings and poems, I explore the human condition as it relates to and is tightly interwoven with our natural and urban landscapes as well as with entities and institutions such as culture, religion, politics, and consumer products.
The images I paint often mirror my belief and understanding that everything is interconnected in a cultural, spiritual, and political embrace. The energy behind my work is my profound love for the earth, the divine, and art.
